Etiqa has crafted a unique and comprehensive insurance and takaful motor coverage plan, the Tesla Ensure package, for offer to new Tesla owners in Malaysia. Including its first-in-Malaysia insurance and takaful coverage for Electric Vehicle (EV) portable charging cable coverage, the expanded coverage is in line with the government’s target of growing the EV market to 38% of total vehicles sold by 2040. The motor insurance and takaful plans are underwritten by Etiqa General Insurance Berhad and Etiqa General Takaful Berhad.

In addition to Etiqa’s basic motor package, Tesla Ensure policy and certificate holders will receive complimentary coverage including EV home charger coverage, which provides reimbursement of up to RM12,000 to replace or repair EV home chargers due to loss or damage, a one-time special relief allowance due to total loss and theft, insured only personal accident coverage, flood relief allowance, compassionate benefits, waiver of excess and up to 30% cash rebates with Drive Less Save More add-on.
