Cik Hasnah was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Etiqa Family Takaful Berhad (EFTB) on 1 January 2026. She was also appointed as a member of the Maybank Ageas Holdings Berhad (MAHB) Audit Committee of the Board (ACB) on 1 January 2026.

Cik Hasnah holds a Master of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University, United States of America (USA), a Master of Banking Law Executive (Islamic and Conventional) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Malaya. She has also completed Banking School II and III for Bank Examiners at the Federal Reserve Bank Board of Governors in USA. She is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM) and a Member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) in Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR).

Cik Hasnah possesses three decades of regulatory experience in banking and capital market. Cik Hasnah had begun her career with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) in 1981, serving in various key roles, including Bank Examiner / Senior Examiner and Head of the Public Affairs Unit. Subsequently, she joined Securities Commission Malaysia in 1993, where she served through several senior positions, including Head of the Investigation Department, Head of Intermediaries and Institutions Department, General Manager of Securities Industry Development Corporation (SIDC), Senior General Manager in the Chairman’s Office, Senior General Manager of Market Supervision Division and Director of the Market Oversight Business Group. She was seconded to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Manila as a Senior Financial Sector Specialist from January 2009 to December 2010, where she led, participated and advised on Islamic finance, financial sector and capital market reform programmes and technical assistant (TA) across ASEAN.

Cik Hasnah has more than a decade experience as a board of director of financial services industry including as a Chairman of the takaful and asset management company. She was a member of the Appeals Committee of the Securities Industry Dispute Resolution Centre (SIDREC).

Cik Hasnah currently sits on the Board of Bond Pricing Agency Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.
