En. Yasin is appointed as an Executive Director of Etiqa Family Takaful Berhad (EFTB) on 1 January 2026.

En. Yasin is the Group CEO, Islamic Banking, and CEO of Maybank Islamic Berhad. He leads the Group’s Islamic banking franchise and drives its ambition to be a global leader in lslamicfinance. His responsibilities include oversight of strategy, product development, and Shariah governance, as well as advancing Maybank’s leadership in Islamic wealth management and championing innovative digital solutions to strengthen the Group’s competitive edge.

En. Yasin brings over 28 years of experience in banking and finance. He began his career with the Maybank Group in 1997 and re-joined the Group in 2010 as Chief Financial Officer of Maybank Investment Bank Berhad. Since then, he has held several senior leadership roles within the Maybank Investment Banking Group, including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and CEO of International Business.

Prior to his current role, En. Yasin served as Group Chief Audit Executive, where he led the development and implementation of the Maybank Group Audit Strategic Plan 2023-2025 (“GRASP25”). Under his leadership, the Group Audit function was strengthened through the adoption of global best practices and an enhanced role in providing assurance and strategic insights across the Group.

Within the Maybank Group, En. Yasin serves on the boards of Maybank Islamic Asset Management Sdn. Bhd. and Maybank Ventures Sdn. Bhd. He also serves on the Board of Cagamas Holdings Berhad.
